The bill on payment for debts to tax authorities and social insurance funds will be tabled in parliament on Monday.
Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos, Interior Minister Alexis Charitsis and Labour Minister Effie Achtsioglou presented the government's legislation during a presser at the Finance Ministry on Sunday.
Tsakalotos said the bill "will, al last, tackle a long-standing problem," while Achtsioglou said the innovative element in this arrangement is the reduction of the debt's bulk nominal sum value after all final recalculations, including an 85 percent write-off on all additional surcharges.
