Mitsotakis: ND the only political force that can guarantee major progressive change
Main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis estimated that on Sunday the citizens will vote for a huge political change.
He said that if the Greeks believe that a major progressive change is necessary then they will vote for the only political force than can turn it into reality."SYRIZA is a conservative force. It is a deeply unprogressive force," he said, speaking to radio News 24/7 on Wednesday.
He claimed that the results of the European and local government elections on Sunday will deliver "clear political conclusions", underlining that ND is currently the only political force that can guarantee a major progressive political change for Greece.
"I am here to unite all Greeks. The dilemma presented by the opposite side (SYRIZA) - 'with the many or the few' - is deeply divisive," Mitsotakis said.
Referring to Turkey, he said that if it continues to violate Cyprus' sovereign rights then the EU should move to impose economic sanctions.
