ADEDY set for two 48-hour strikes

Civil servants union, ADEDY, is to hold two 48-hour strikes in the coming weeks.


The Executive Committee decided two 48-hour strike in the Public Sector to protest legislation that will lead to job losses in the public sector as a result of organizations shut down.

The first 48-hour strike will take place on the day the legislation is due to be debated and voted on in Parliament. The second has been plannes for March 13 and 14 to protest job losses that are due to be announced, on March 22, as a result of civil servants placed in a labor pool 8 months ago.

ADEDY calls federations "to respond dynamically to avoid new layoffs and civils servants to be placed in labor".
