Deaths from flu in Greece reach 40
Health minister closes the polyclinics of EOPYY, at a time when the flu hits Greece.
The number of Greeks who have died from flu since January 1st has reached 40 according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KEELPNO).
KEELPNO said that 145 people have received hospital treatment after contracting flu and other 59 people are currently being treated in intensive care units.
The people who lost their lives belonging to high risk groups, which had not been vaccinated against influenza.
Last year, 49 people lost their lives and 113 people were hospitalized.
