Voultepsi on the negotiation with the troika

This is the last negotiation, the last review and, therefore, it is the most difficult, government spokesperson Sofia Voultepsi said on Sunday, referring to the negotiation underway with the troika of the country's lenders.

Speaking on Skai television, she said that the country seeks a credit line and “our job is to prove that we can make it”.

Responding to a question on the political negotiation conducted by the prime minister, she said that details of the negotiation cannot be made public, underlining that the Greek people should rest assured that the best is being done. She also noted that the government wants the negotiation to be completed by the end of the year, underlining that the economic growth will not be put at risk.

On the suggestions for a dialogue between the government and the main opposition party, Voultepsi said that the prime minister has called for “national consensus” and the government vice-president has spoken about an “unbroken national front” as opposed to SYRIZA that sees no potential for a consensus.
