Dendias calls on the army to help flooded areas in Evros
Defence Minister Nikos Dendias on Sunday ordered the Greek Army to help people in the Evros region with all possible means.
The General Secretariat for Civil Protection has declared a state of emergency in several areas of Evros in northeastern Greece, due to extensive flooding caused by the collapse of levees and controlled high-flow releases to reduce the volume of water in the Evros River.
