Protests against Troika in Athens

Teachers, school guards and cleaners protested outside the Administrative Reform Ministry in the morning.


The rally turned tense after a group of protesters tried reach Troika.

The employees demanded a meeting with the minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakos, to discuss their grievances.

18 people tried to get in the Administrative Reform Ministry. One of them was was the head of the union of secondary school teachers (OLME) Themis Kotsyfakis. He claimed that the rally was peaceful and that demonstrators did not blocked the road.

Police fired tear gas to disperse a crowd outside the Finance Ministry. One woman injured during the tense.
