Speaking of the SEECP summit, the Greek premier said the meeting of Southeast European leaders would be joined by the German chancellor and the president of the European Council, and would highlight the role of what is known as Greece's northern capital and the region's importance in general. "We are currently at the forefront of all that is happening in the Balkans, and we can reiterate confidently that Greece is a power of stability and prosperity in the greater region," he added.

The PM paid a visit to the Thermi Town Hall, meeting with the mayor and city officials, and discussed outstanding local issues as well as the funding tools available for their solutions.
