PM Mitsotakis meets with delegation of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne
The prime minister referred extensively to the Greek state's relations with Greek expatriates, referring particularly to the new consular and digital services provided to the Greeks of the diaspora for faster and more efficient services and to overcome chronic bureaucratic dysfunctionalities, with the implementation of the 'Register of Citizens', the video call system 'My ConsuLive', and the 'Virtual Assistant' application.
Mitsotakis made special mention of the diverse and rich activities developed by the community, focusing on the preservation of Greek cultural heritage and its support of Greece's national issues, while he thanked the leadership of the Greek community, expressing his appreciation for their efforts that aim to project a modern image of Greece in Australia.
