Mitsotakis: We are voting on a budget that turns economic progress into individual progress
"We have the opportunity to change Greece and make it a truly European country. Our effort is not yet complete," Prime Minister and New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Saturday speaking at the meeting of the New Democracy's bodies held at OAKA.
"In the final stretch for the 2027 elections, we have a double mission - to communicate our policy to the citizens and to say what we will do for 2030," he noted, underlining "we are in a happy position to vote on a budget that turns economic progress into individual progress."
On the election of Kyriakos Pierrakakis as president of the Eurogroup, Mitsotakis noted that Greece, once the "black sheep" of Europe, is being chosen as the country that directs the central policy of the eurozone, and this demonstrates the recognition not only of the government's policy but also of the efforts of the Greek people and is against the opposition that sees everything as black.
In addition, the prime minister said: "Let us keep our ambitions high but also our look low, citizens still have many problems."
