Bank of Greece: Annual report to be published on Thursday
Bank of Greece (BoG) annual report is expected to be published on Thursday noon at the 81st annual ordinary general meeting of the bank's shareholders.
The meeting between BoG governor George Provopoulos with the heads of the troika regarding the additional funds that banks would need ended without any agreement. According to reliable sources, the negotiations will continue on a technical level, while a new meeting with the central bank's management will likely take place next week.
Moreover, the governing council of private debt management is meeting on Thursday at the Finance Ministry on the institutional framework and the implementation process of the permanent mechanism for private debt, which will come into force as of 2015.
Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras, Competitiveness and Development Minister Costis Hatzidakis, Labour Minister Yiannis Vroutsis, a working group from the Justice Ministry - due to absence of Justice Minister Charalambos Athanassiou - BoG deputy governor Ioannis Papadakis and National Bank chairman George Zanias will participate in the meeting.
