Big police reaction for illegal trades in Athens
One arrest was made and 54 more people were jailed on Monday night after a police check in central Athens about restriction of illegal trades.
The checks, which involved police teams of "Xenia Zeus" and special officers of illegal trades in the center of Athens, were made at the roads Zenonos, Kerameikos, Agios Konstantinos, the part of Peiraios in Thiseio market and Iera Odo. The police arrested one person, who had 200 packets of smuggled cigarettes in his possession and confiscated even larger numbers of other aspects of illegal trades, which were moved by two municipal garbage trucks.
