Kammenos: “Not a revolution in Ukraine”
Kammenos spoke about the developments in Ukraine and emphasized on the publicized material, in which the Foreign Minister of Estonia says that the snipers in the square of Kiev were mercenaries. "It turns out that what we see evolving in the square of Kiev was not a uprising of the Ukrainian people in the government, a revolution, but a coup that set up the forces of the new order of things” he said and added: “It turns out that the snipers were not personal police Yanukovych, but Islamist mercenaries who where moved there to create a precedent. It shows that some people are trying to overthrow the existing government ignoring democratic ways and usual diplomatic acts, but with provocation”.
Kammenos reported extensively on the Marshall Plan and said that this is a difficult time: “let's consider who are our real allies. Who where those who stood by us in difficult times such, like after the Second World War, the civil war, the economical difficulties and important national moments”. “I will never forget the support from Russia, in the UN Security Council on Cyprus” said the president of Independent Greeks. Kammenos also estimated that "while some try to set up the world to their feet, it’s time for our country to look at our allies and build with them the democratic world of tomorrow. The Independent Greeks will do everything we can”.
