Charles Dalara was the key man behind the debt restructuring of private creditors to Greece during 2011-2012. Today, with exclusive statements to NEWSBOMB, he suggested innuendos for the role of the IMF at the time of critical negotiations with Greece and makes a proposal that would shock!
Among other things, the former director general of the International Financial Institute throws the table his proposal for the IMF to shear its own loans in order to also suffer attributable the losses and make Greece's debt sustainable.

The statement of Mr. Dalara comes at a particular moment where at the background is conducted an underground war between lenders, about who will pay the "price" of a new Greek debt relief.

Former Executive Director Institute of International Finance, Charles Dalara speaks of "some who were pushing Greece to unilaterally break with us private creditors and not to seek for a compromise, which was eventually happened, but after months of arduous negotiations". Circles of environment of Dalara had recently let be known that the IMF was pushing the Greek side to proceed in disagreement and to make a unilateral agreement around the premise of restructuring.

Today however, Dalara suggests a new proposal that will reignite the debate around the new debt haircut, and brings the IMF in a particularly difficult position.
"Since the IMF asks clipping loans Europeans to Greece, must do the same for its own loans granted to support the Greek economy", says Mr. Dalara.

This statement of Dalara through NEWSBOMB is a tangible imprint of the underway bickering in the background, behind the back of Greece, about who will eventually be the one to pay the price of the necessary damage, in order the Greek public debt to become sustainable again. This is a discussion which both the Greek government and the Europeans do not seem they want to open, but the IMF insists on bringing this up by the back door, on the table of discussion.

NEWSBOMB asked for a comment from the IMF about the statements of Dalara, but officials of the Fund refused to comment. However as time goes by, more and more are beginning to share the view that the IMF should also do a haircut in its own loans to Greece, instead of simply indicating the Europeans the amount of the losses that should have to accept, for the sake of the sustainability of the Greek debt.

Keep in mind the statement of Dalara, as we believe it will be the harbinger of a new conflict that will follow in September between European-IMF; Europe to openly call the IMF to make a haircut to its own loans to Greece. And then of course we will live situations that one can scarcely imagine today ...
