Florina: He was killed after violating a sign post
A violation of compulsory registration for prioritizing was fatal for a 57 year old van driver, at the 38th kilometer of new highway Kozani-Florina.
According to what became known from the police, the 57 year old, who had his 52 year old wife in the car, in an attempt to enter the van through a level crossing on the new highway, ignored a regulatory traffic sign and collided with a passing truck. From the conflict he lost his life, while his wife was transferred to the Bosodakio hospital of Ptolemaida with serious injuries.
An intervention of the Fire Service was needed or the liberation of the two people, while the authorities of Florina have begun conducting a preliminary investigation of the accident.
