Troika: At 15% the profit of pharmacists from June 1st
The horizontal reduction of profit rates of pharmacists to 15%, from today's 23% was published yesterday by the Troika report with effect from June 1.
The reduction of the profit rates had been discussed by troika during its last visit to Greece, as the issue of ownership of pharmacies. After the enactment of the ownership and disposal of non-prescription drugs in supermarkets, it agreed with the Minister of Health that the government can't take an initiative for the profit rate before the Euro elections. In the same report, a prerequisite for troika is the health coverage of uninsured citizens, who are estimated by the Ministry of Health from 1.9 to 2,400,000 people. The report states that until June they have to vote a bill to cover this population.
