The major projects of D. Giannakopoulos which will change Sparta

His great love for the place of origin of the Giannakopoulos family seems to become the driving force behind the 'regeneration' of Sparta and the formation of conditions that will allow it to regain the lost glory.

The deputy managing director and vice president of the Board of VIANEX, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, has already created an ambitious plan, as having publicly stated long ago that it was time for Sparta to acquire the image befitting of what represents the laconic capital for Greece and world history.

In a recent publication of local information site report24.gr, became known by the Mayor of Sparta, Stavros Argeitakos the intention of Dimitris Giannakopoulos to cover the costs for the study of the reconstruction of the historic XENIA hotel in Sparta.

On the occasion of the above fact Newsbomb.gr contacted Dimitris Giannakopoulos, who reported both in the subject of XENIA but also in his general intentions for the development of Sparta.

The Vice of VIANEX said:

"I will certainly cover the cost of the study on XENIA hotel in Sparta. You should be aware, however, that this action is part of an integrated plan, in cooperation with the official bodies of Sparta and Lakonia who have pledged to stand helpers on this initiative, which aims the rebirth of Sparta and her emergence as global benchmark. Her history deserves this. The Spartans deserve this. Whole Greece deserves this.

I will mention some of the main lines of action that we have designed and discuss with both the Regional Director of Peloponnese Peter Tatoulis and with the Mayor of Sparta Argeitakos Stavros, who we have stated directly that will support every effort aimed at development of Sparta and of the broader Laconia.

Briefly:

1. The construction of the new Archaeological Museum: The big goal is the highlighting of the rich history of our country.
2. The construction of a prototype unit for medical tourism.
3. The construction of a sport training center modeled on the major European clubs.
4. The construction of a theme park with multiple actions with reference to Leonidas and the 300.
These are the major interventions that we believe will change the image of Sparta radically and will bring development to the country. Our vision is Sparta to regain the position it held for centuries in the world stage.

With method and effectiveness, we will succeed this."
