Productive Reconstruction Minister: First elections and then SYRIZA congress
Productive Reconstruction Minister Panos Skourletis, in an interview to public broadcaster ERT, said that the need for elections is evident.Skourletis said that this is happening for two reasons. The first because SYRIZA has lost its power in parliament and the second because the government is called to implement a programme that is not based on the reason SYRIZA was elected. This constitutes a huge contradiction and for that reason there is an issue of democratic legitimacy."
The minister said that elections should be held before SYRIZA's congress.
On Halkidiki (Skouries) gold mines he noted that the rules must be applied. "We can't play with the human lives nor with the environment and the job positions. In any case, even if we have a negative development, the state will find a way to give solutions on the employment issue of specific individuals."
