Petsas: Return to normality will be gradual, long and targeted
On the protection of the first residence, he said that it would be ironic to tell to the people to stay at home and get them out of their homes because the protection period has expired. We are examining a combination, on one hand the possibility to extend the first home protection after April 30 and in parallel the insolvency law that will be applied, when it is applied, in order for all to be aware and get prepared. Our plan will be presented until April 30, he said.
Criticising the early general elections scenarios, he underlined that the elections will be held at the end of the government's four-year term.
On the Greek-Turkish relations, he said that "we want, as we always wanted, to have good neighbourly relations with Turkey. When necessary we proved we are determined to do anything possible to defend our sovereign rights with the recent example at Kastanies in Evros. We will continue to do it in our islands, our sea and everywhere because, as we have said many times, we have the right on our side, our allies on our side and we will do whatever possible to defend our borders".
Referring to the tourism sector he said that the government is oriented towards a gradual transition to normality. The domestic and the possible external tourism should be combined with the security measures and this means that the people that are going to visit Greece and the people moving inside the country should feel safe and this is a part of our plan.
