Chrisochoidis: The Polytechnic Uprising will also not be celebrated in 2020
Chrisochoidis said that this year's celebration of the Polytechnic "is an opportunity to have a broad discussion, with respect for the memory of the dead of the Polytechnic, and to give it the meaning it deserves; and when the country opens once more and this adventure is over, we will be here to once again celebrate together all these major celebrations that unite us."
The minister also referred to the strict checks at toll posts throughout the country for those returning from their recent trips. "Everyone should know that, as of Saturday morning, only the return of those that are permanently resident in the place they are returning to will be permitted," he said.
Finally, he appealed to people to avoid gatherings, adding that there will be sweeping checks in the presence of a prosecutor in order to prevent the phenomena observed in the past that caused so much damage.
