Greek stocks end slightly lower
The general index recorded gains of 3.27 pct in the week, cutting its losses so far this year to 35.84 pct. The Large Cap index fell 0.45 pct and the Mid Cap index rose 0.25 pct. Turnover was 35.42 million euros in volume of 16,912,801 shares. ADMIE (2.33 pct), Viohalco (2.31 pct), Mytilineos (1.35 pct) and Ellaktor (1.20 pct) scored gains among blue chip stocks, while National Bank (4.17 pct), Sarantis (2.89 pct) and Alpha Bank (2.71 pct) suffered losses.
Among market sectors, Raw Materials (2.02 pct) and Industrial Products (1.12 pct) moved up, while Food (2.15 pct) and Travel (2.15 pct) moved down. Alpha Bank and Eurobank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, advancers led decliners by 55 to 40 with another 23 issues unchanged. Bitros Holdings (17.33 pct) and Merrmeren (9.93 pct) were top gainers, while Kordellou Bros (5.56 pct) and Frigoglass (5.00 pct) were top losers.
