High temperatures will prevail in Greece until Tuesday
Very high temperatures for the season will prevail throughout the country at the weekend, February 6 and 7, reaching as high as 25 Celsius in places.
This is the result of an intense warm front traversing the Mediterranean, which is expected to reach its peak during the weekend and will continue at roughly the same levels until Tuesday, February 9, according to National Observatory of Athens weather service, Meteo.
In Athens the hottest day will be Saturday, when temperatures will climb to 23C. In Thessaloniki the highest temperatures will be on Saturday and Sunday, 19C-20C.
