Athens-Lamia motorway to open for six hours at 13:00 and close again at 19:00

The Kifissia-Lamia section of Athens-Thessaloniki motorway, which was closed as a precaution early on Monday due to heavy snow and unsafe driving conditions, will reopen between 13:00 and 19:00 on Monday to help meet the needs of the market and industry, stated Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chrisochoidis, after the meeting at the Civil Protection service's headquarters on Monday.

The Athens-Lamia section of the motorway will then close again at 19:00 on Monday until 07:00 Tuesday morning as extreme weather conditions are expected to prevail. The situation will be re-evaluated on Tuesday at 11:00.
