Hardalias presents "Aenaon" park: Attica's largest urban regeneration project

The Regional Governor of Attica Nikos Hardalias, presented to the Regional Council the plan of the new Metropolitan Park "Aenaon" in Faliro Bay. He noted that the park has a total area of 541 square acres, and its budget amounts to 370 million euros. He stressed that it is the largest urban regeneration of the Attica Region and that it will fully upgrade the coastal front of the "Athenian Riviera," offering citizens a modern green space, culture, sports, and recreation.

Hardalias also stressed that "this is the first park in Greece that will be created in accordance with the requirements of the new European Bauhaus programme, which links the European Green Agreement with the everyday life of citizens."The Aenaon Coastal Mediterranean Park will feature:-4,000 trees and 210,000 plants-250 acres of new green areas-73% natural environment-Accessibility for all by applying the principles of inclusion-Upgrading the aesthetics, energy efficiency, and functionality of 14,000 m² of Olympic buildings.-Three new parking areas with a total capacity of 850 spaces.-A 1.4 km pedestrian and cycling path, integrated into the 17 km path currently under construction, connecting Kallithea to the municipality of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni.-The site is projected to attract 3.8 million visitors annually.
