Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is visiting Brussels on Thursday in order to take part in the European People's Party (EPP) summit and the subsequent European Council meeting.
Government sources said that proposals concerning the white paper for European defence presented by the European Commission - although no extensive discussion on defence is expected at the European Council - are moving in the right direction.
They also said that the premier will on Thursday take part in a European leaders' meeting on migration, which will be held before the start of the European Council meeting.
