Pierrakakis meets Boujnah: Euronext plans Support and Technology Centre in Athens

FinMin Kyriakos Pierrakakis met with Euronext CEO Stéphane Boujnah at the Ministry of Economy and Finance on Monday. In a post on X, Pierrakakis said that Boujnah announced Euronext’s intention to establish a new Support and Technology Centre in Athens as part of the proposed acquisition of the Athens Stock Exchange.

“This initiative recognises the significant progress Greece has made in digital transformation and represents an investment in our country’s human capital,” Pierrakakis said, adding:

“We support any action that substantially strengthens the Greek economy and domestic businesses, especially when it provides access to large pools of liquidity and know-how.”
