Defense Min Dendias: This year's parade one of innovation & transition of Armed Forces into new era

This year's parade in Thessaloniki highlighted the first visible sample of the Greek Armed Forces' transition into a new era, National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias said on Tuesday.

On the occasion of the October 28 ('Ochi Day') anniversary, Dendias said, "It is the first time an innovation section is part of a parade, incorporating the transformation of the Armed Forces into a contemporary, technologically advanced and operationally independent deterrent power."

Through new armaments programs, drones, and state-of-the-art technologies, Greece is "streadily moving on a path of reforms that respond to the challenges of the times," the defense minister added.
