Donation with ... scent of Soros in the Municipality of Athens?

Funding of approximately 1.5 million will be received by Municipality of Athens from the Financial Mechanism of the Government of Norway, "European Economic Area and Norway Grants".

According the mayor Mr. Kaminis, this program aims strengthening of the social project of the Municipality, to help about 10,000 citizens, which were currently supported by the "Node of Solidarity" initiative by the Municipality of Athens, as well as adressing the issue of homeless citizens of Athens.

During yesterday's meeting of the City Council of the City of Athens prevailed tension, as the opposition parties asked details from the mayor about the program, the Norwegian company, the company that will manage the money and mainly the name of the person who is behind this “charity”.

We should note that this money (over 2 million) will be managed by an offshore company registered in Cyprus, which is among the largest corporations to provide accounting services, bookkeeping and auditing and tax consultancy. Of course, the services will be cost the 10 % of the total amount...

The majority of the City Council therefore decided to cooperate with this company that will channel the money through NGOs in the municipality.

Mr. Nikos Sofianos of the Communist Party, denounced the new cooperation decided by the majority of the city council, with five NGOs for supply management of the Norwegian government to the Centre for Support and Solidarity of the Municipality of Athens.

The question is why the municipality does not directly administer the money but gives it to an offshore company? Can't Mr. Kamminis himself manage the amount for the municipality needs?

Who is hiding behind the “charity”?

According to what has been said ... to the corridors of City Hall, on the sidelines of the meeting of the city council, behind the “merciful” Norwegian government reportedly is the major investor George Soros.

If this is true, it is clear that the ' hawk ' of global speculation once again seeks ways to "conquers" our country.

The less suspicious citizens would think that the decision of Mayor George Kaminis and the City Council to accept the donation was the right one, since due to the crisis any help would be appreciated.

However, the fact that the real source of this particular donation remains unknown, is raising suspicion about how “innocent” really is this donation and its acceptance.

Regardless of the progress of this case and the ease with which the disbursement of the amount is routed through Cyprus and not directly to the municipality by the Norwegian government, the questions around any possible and improbable actions of Soros are many and timeless...

- How can the man who foresaw, in statements and articles in the international media, the unambiguously country's exit from the euro zone and made the Greek spreads to "fly", is currently appearing as “savior” of the country?

- How pure and benevolent may be a move when it is known that through respective donations had been funded a series of "democratic uprisings", like the "Rose Revolution" in Adjara with the known effects?

- Is the donation to the municipality of Athens the “Trojan Horse” for Soros to invade to the Greek issues and an official way to implements his "dirty" projects?
