While many of us we associate cannibalism with horror movies or stories from the past, some horror stories of modern civilization are still occurring, even today...

1. Restaurant that had human skulls in its menu!
In February 2014, eleven people were arrested following the discovery that the kitchen of the restaurant there were two human skulls wrapped in cellophane! The human flesh that was offered in the restaurant of Nigeria had a high price and was regarded as a luxurious treat for customers. The restaurant in the hotel was closed immediately.

2. Brothers opened graves to eat the corpses!
Two brothers from Pakistan were arrested last April, when a human head that belonged to a little boy was found in their home. Mohammad Arif Ali and Mohammad Ali Farman, were arrested and in the past for human cannibalism, but had been released after having served their sentences. The local police received new complaints from neighbors about the smell coming out of the house of the two brothers and when the officers entered the house, they discovered bones that belonged to over 100 people, which were taken from their graves!

3. He cooked his wife in the kitchen of a restaurant!
David from California "accidentally" killed his wife in 2009, when he tried to stop her from driving drunk. Her body was never found, while the offender, who was an experienced chef, confessed that he cooked her in the restaurant for four days. He cooked her whole body, except her skull, which was big and hidden in his mother's refrigerator!

4. He cooked him with his consent!
Armin Meiwes became known in 2011, when he killed and cooked a man, whom he had found via an ad: "Seeking a man 18-30 years old to be slaughtered and then consumed". He videotaped the entire incident and during the next ten months consumed the rest of the body of the unfortunate Armando Brande. The offender first cut the penis, then cooked it with spices and offered him off a bit before killing him. Miewes then ate the rest of the body of man and is currently serving a life sentence in Germany.

5. The model that killed and chopped his lover on video
In 2007 a model and porsnostar from Canada was arrested for the murder of his lover. A video posted online showed a man of Asian descent dismembered with a knife, caught the attention of the authorities. The parts of the unfortunate victim were sent to the offices of political parties and to schools across Canada. Luka Magnotta was eventually arrested and admitted his heinous act.

6. He minted his genitals and served them
Mao Sugiyama, 22 year old from Japan, had voluntarily undergone surgery to remove his genitals in 2012. The Japanese chef then took his frozen penis and scrotum to his home and via Twitter made an offer! He wrote that he will cook them and will offer them via dinner with a big fee! He ended up serving his genitals, along with mushrooms and parsley in a specially organized party that had 70 people, who could either eat this meal or a crocodile!

7. Devoured the face of a homeless man!
In 2012, a man from Miami attacked a homeless man and began to devour his face including his eye! Rudy Eugene ate the man's face for 18 minutes and only stopped when the police shot him!

8. The woman who cooked her boyfriend!
After a tumultuous six-year relationship, a woman entered the house of her lover and stabbed him 37 times! Then she cooked his body with zucchini and potatoes and put in dishes for his children to eat, when they returned from school. Fortunately, the neighbors realized that something strange was happening in the home by the smell that emerged and managed to inform the authorities before the children returned.

9. Two brothers ate their older brother!
Two brothers from Russia confessed that they killed and began to eat their older brother in 2009. The police had received complaints about the disappearance of the young man and after investigation found the remains buried in the garden of the family home, while the skin was missing. The perpetrators told them that they sliced the corpse, put the meat in the freezer and ate every six months to hide the proof!

10. The serial cannibal!
Jeffrey Dahmer is probably one of the most notorious cannibals, having killed more than 17 young men and boys during a period of 14 years, from 1977 to 1991. He lured many young men to come to his home in Wisconsin and, after killing them, maintained their skeletons for sex toys! Dahmer was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1992, but then was beaten to death by a fellow inmate...
