Earthquake jolts the regions of Laconia, Messinia and Kythera island
A light quake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale jolted the regions of Laconia, Messinia and the island of Kythera at 11:55 on Tuesday.
According to the Geodynamics Institute of the Athens National Observatory, the quake's epicentre was located in the Laconic Gulf and its depth was six kilometres.
The EuroMediterrenean Seismologic Centre said that the earthquake measured 4.8 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was 21 km south of the town of Gytheio, at a depth of 10km.
