Turks generals planning tense Scenery in the Aegean

The endless disclosures that involve the Erdogan family in corruption scandals cause turbulences in Turkey.

Ankara prosecutors ordered investigation about the telephone conference that leaked out to the internet, in which the Turkish Prime Minister seems to give laundering instructions to her son for 1 billion dollar.

Erdogan claims that the video is a product of montage. He spoke for a trap that was set on the other side of Atlantic Ocean blaming but without saying the leader’s of the Hizmet brotherhood of Nourtzou name, Fetoulah Gulle, jets referred to him as a “transatlantic bait”.

Who fights Erdogan?

According to the Yeni Safac and Star newspapers, telephone conversations were wiretapping by the orders of police offices and judges close to the Islamic Priest’s Fetulah Gullen brotherhood, which was also blamed by Erdogan for the major socioeconomic scandal that shocked his government the last few months.

During December after the disclosures about investigations for corruption in many Erdogan’s close associates and family members, the prime ministered accused his former Gullen’s brotherhood allies that they manipulated the results in order to destabilize him due to the forward elections of the 30th May and August.

The suspitious role of the generals.

It will not be easy for Erdogan to end with Ilker Basbug.

Last August the ex military forces chief and now imprisoned for life, general Basbug called indirectly but clearly the Turcish people to rise against the government by saying that: “People now must speak. My conscience is clear. People are never wrong and I expect them to react. Nobody can fool them”.

Later developments in Turkey and the violent struggles to Istanbul confirmed Erdogan’s fears for an underground war from the generals. Basbug has a major influence in the army and when he was in custody he ask to his followers not to react. Afterwards, when he finally imprisoned called the people to rise against Erdogan.

Why the generals “fight” Erdogan?

A serial of trials over the last few years, that shocked the Turkish military, have led to the most important political legacy of Erdogan during the twelve years of running the country: he accomplished to sent the generals back to their quarters, away from the political scene.

Hundreds of officers had been found guilty of overthrow attempt over Erdogan.

In the present day though, while the Prime minister is under investigation he is planning his political survival focusing on the contempt of the trials that led the officers in jail. Many of the judges and prosecutors in both cases –against the generals and the bribes- are followers of Fatullah Gullen, Erdogan’s former political ally which is now his enemy.

Greece and Cyprus in target

A Turkish journalist supported that “there is no way for such large number of army officers to stay in prison for long. There will be a vast escalation in my country”.

And so it happened. The generals are already applying their plan for destabilization in Turkey and Erdogan’s withdrawal. Violent conflicts, government scandals, social rage and humanistic crisis. In order to raise the moral of Turkish citizens the generals are likely to proceed to military incidents in Cyprus and Greece. They know that Greek military forces have suffered from financial crisis and they spot to the weak points.

Having the fanatic Islamists as their allies it is more that certain that the Turkish generals will create tension in the Aegean Sea proceeding even in military actions if the circumstances will allow that.

After all, the gas and oil fields in Cyprus and Greece are a great temptation.

Everything shows that something new starts in Turkey and the Greek side should be in vigilance and to reinforce its military forces.

The only sure fact is that either Ilker Basbug’s kemalist oriented followers either the new-ottoman followers of Erdogan, will export their internal crisis towards their “historical enemy” of Greece…
