The US support ongoing talks for resolving Skopje name issue
With the process of resolving the Skopje name issue at a critical juncture, the State Department reiterated its constant support for the talks while encouraging the leaders of the two countries to reach a mutually acceptable solution.
Responding to a question raised by the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA), an official of the US Department of State reiterated the US standing position on the Skopje name issue.
The United States continue to support the ongoing talks under the auspices of the United Nations to resolve the issue of Skopje name, it said and added: We encourage the leaders of Skopje and Greece to find a mutually acceptable solution in the interests of Euro-Atlantic integration, economic prosperity, peace and security in the region.
