Al Jazeera "screams", Greece is silent
And while we sleep, without anyone being able to awaken consciences and to arouse the feeling of Greece within us, an Arab station makes a tribute to our rights!
The correspondent of the Al Jazeera TV station in Greece made a pilgrimage to the memories of the Second World War and to the German "boot" that literally stepped on the proud Greek. With the title "Greece claiming war reparations from Berlin", the author credits the intensity of the pressures from the Greek government to the fact that in recent years Germany has "pioneered" the harsh economic measures imposed on our country. The labeling is tragic: Of the nearly half a million dead in Greece in the Second World War, only 30,000 were killed in battle. The rest were killed during the occupation.
We note that Greece is claiming seven billion dollars it's entitled after a decision form 1946 as compensation for Nazi crimes. A debt, from that dark era of Nazism, that hasn't been paid. At the same time, of course, systemic media sources and the majority of the elected members of the Parliament don't want to disturb the circles of Germany...
