If you've experienced something similar, before worrying, you should know that they don't always indicate an infection by a sexually transmitted disease, but in most cases are a harmless symptom that is easily handled. Depending on the size, shape and color of the rash, see what they might mean:

- The microscopic scars on the base of the penis or testes may be merely the hair follicles.

- The small domed or serrated bulges around the end of the molecule can be angiofibroma. It's not transmitted, nor requires treatment.

- The small signs of red or purple color may be angeiokeratoma. These benign skin disease that manifests at the end of the penis and the testicles. As the angiofibroma, the angeiokeratoma isn't cause for concern.

- If the rash is greater in size (about a pea) and contains a white liquid, probably a cyst. In some cases, you may need surgery to remove it.

- The red spots may indicate the existence of psoriasis. It may be due to excessive friction during sexual intercourse, but aren't transmitted. Usually the problem is dealt with local steroid creams.

- The pink or brownish color skin bumps with liquid surface may indicate infection by the virus HPV. There known warts. In most cases, the texture is reminiscent of the surface of cauliflower and can appear anywhere on the genitals. This is the most common STDs and requires immediate medical intervention

- The single, round skin ulcer, which doesn't cause pain, may be indicative of primary syphilis. The sign may disappear after a few weeks, but the bacteria aren't eliminated from the body and can be transmitted by sexual contact.

- The irregularly shaped ulcer that doesn't cause pain and persists for a long time may indicate cancer of the penis. Occurs more in the end of the molecule or the prepuce (the skin covering the penis). Easily cured if detected at an early stage.

- The cluster of tiny blisters that develop into painful ulcers may indicate herpes infection. The disease is highly contagious and belongs to STDs.

- The red rashes that cause intense itching at the tip of the penis may indicate balanitis. It is simply inflammation of the gland and may be due to poor hygiene. It requires, however, immediate medical intervention.
