Six vehicle pile-up in Egnatia highway tunnel
An accident involving six vehicles took place in an Egnatia highway tunnel near Metsovo on Tuesday evening but without any reports of injuries or deaths at this time.
The pile-up occurred on the Ioannina-bound lanes just before 19:00 hours and involved two lorries, a refrigerator truck, two cars and a coach carrying a school outing.
Traffic police and the fire brigade are now heading toward the scene while Egnatia highway lanes toward Ioannina and Igoumenitsa are closed.
