We are very close to the conclusion of this phase of the procedure, EC president Tusk says
"We are very close to the conclusion of this phase of the procedure" as regards the negotiation, the president of the European Council Donald Tusk on Wednesday (05/04/2017) said in a meeting with Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos.
"Today I am more optimistic that yesterday," he later said in a meeting with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
On his part, Pavlopoulos said that Greece continues on the European course with big sacrifices for the Greek people. He stressed that Europe would not be the same without Greece and this needs to be taken into consideration during the second programme review.
