Six of ten fuel stations involved in tax evasion and fuel smuggling
Inspections by the SDOE financial crimes squad have uncovered serious cases of tax evasion and illegal fuel trading in six out of 10 filling stations inspected, the SDOE announced on Wednesday. In addition, one station had two illegal underground storage tanks filled with illegal fuel.
The SDOE conducted targeted inspections of filling stations in the last period, during which it detected high misconduct, over 62 percent, in the total of the checked stations involving violations of customs and market law, as well as tax evasion.
