The elections for the European parliament may be the most important of the last decades because what will be judged is if Europe will move forward or will chose to step back" stated European parliament Vice President Dimitris Papadimoulis in an interview with the public broadcaster ERT on Sunday.
He said that in order for Europe to become attractive again we must stop the extreme right populists and the progressive forces, despite their differences, to speed up the steps of cooperation. "The Left, the Socialists and the Greens should not make the same mistakes their political ancestors did 80 years ago that facilitated the rise of nazism and fascism".
