'Euroferry Olympia' firefighting operation continuing on Tuesday

Due to a fall of the ship's fire door, the intensity of the fire has been reduced, however the firefighting operation continues.

The fire brigade is focusing on pouring water onto the ship externally, in order to reduce the high temperatures, while on Monday, two burnt trucks were removed from the entrance of the ship using a crane.

At the moment, there is still intense smoke inside the ship and only when all fires are completely extinguished will an operation begin again to find the three people that are still missing and to remove the vehicles from the ship's garages.
