The measures announced are delayed and inferior, Androulakis says
Opposition PASOK-Movement for Change (KINAL) leader Nikos Androulakis on Thursday criticised the measures announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday as delayed and inferior to those adopted by other European governments.
The measures were outlined in detail on Thursday by the ministers responsible for dealing with high prices.
Speaking to SKAI TV, Androulakis spoke about measures of limited scope that cannot help either the poorest nor the majority of households. "Compared to other European countries, they are lower. The 1.1 billion euros is not a fiscal margin, it is speculation by the state at the expense of the Greek people and this evident from the surplus tax revenues earned in the two-month period of November and December, due to the higher inflation," Androulakis said.
