SYRIZA's Svigou: We are ready to fight the electoral battle at any moment
Svigou said that the government does not want to take drastic measures against rising prices and is trying to protect the energy suppliers' excess profits
Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance Central Committee Secretary Rania Svigou, in an interview with ethnos.gr, stated that an "immediate recourse to elections is demanded and a necessity for the popular majority," adding that her party "is ready to fight the electoral battle at any moment."
Svigou said that the government does not want to take drastic measures against rising prices and is trying to protect the energy suppliers' excess profits.
Only a progressive government can address the problems, she added, and not the current government which "systematically acts in favour of the powerful and of specific businesses interests".
