Venizelos to visit Kiev the next days
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos will travel to Rome on Friday, 28 February, where he will meet at 17:30 with Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini.
The agenda for the meeting includes bilateral relations, energy cooperation between the two countries, the priorities of the current Hellenic Presidency and the upcoming Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU – with emphasis on European policy on illegal migration – as well as international and regional developments.
Evangelos Venizelos is planning a visit to Kiev over the next few days, in coordination with the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Police Catherine Ashton.
Mr. Venizelos stressed that the formation of a functioning and consensual government is imperative, in order to maintain control and the country’s unity.
