Th. Dritsas: "There are many questions and must be answered"

The MP of SYRIZA, Theodore DRITSAS shows, speaking to newsbomb.gr, the... paradoxes of government's handling in the "scandal of the decade", of the acquisition of "Henry Dunant" hospital from "HEMITHEA SA"

Recall that the MP of SYRIZA raised important questions to the Minister of Health, Makis Voridis, when submitting the amendment to the House.

"The case of the auction for the Henry Dunant seems to have many gaps," says Mr. Dritsas and continues:

"Frankly, I cannot disprove, with the evidence I have, the Health Minister Mr. Voridis, on his statement on September 18 in the House that was not aware of the highest bidder, who would use the amendment that was filed that day. If is true, however, that the company HEMITHEA SA who participated in the auction, (I do not know if it was the only one involved), if it is as previously published, a subsidiary of Piraeus Bank, which caused the auction, then there are many questions which are raised.

The first question is, why this amendment was necessary, given that a company operating in the health sector has the potential to take an operation license as private clinic or private hospital.

The second question is if the new owner of "Henry Dunant" is charged the debts of the hospital which are around € 300 million. Do they debts remain a burden on the state budget?

The third question is that the "Henry Dunant" was given to Piraeus Bank for debts of 90 million Euros. These were debts of the hospital to the Cyprus Popular Bank, which was acquired by Piraeus Bank in the known manner. Therefore, did the Piraeus Bank give that amount to the Popular Bank?

And the fourth question is if (according to journalistic information) Piraeus Bank has given the management of "Henry Dunant" to the entrepreneurs of "Hygeia" Hospital. Obviously, there will be much more questions, but so far these questions are already enough and should be answered."
