Earthquake measuring 4.2 Richter felt in Messinia
An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale shook the regions of Messinia and Ileia in the Peloponnese at 10:00 on Thursday, the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens announced.
The epicentre of the quake was located in the sea off Methoni at a focal depth of 10 km.
According to the EMSC, the quake measured 4.4 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was 36 km west of Methoni, while the focal depth was calculated at two km.
