132 archaeological areas, museums to open for August full moon

A total of 132 archaeological areas and museums will take part in the "Panselinos 2018" event, remaining open to the public for the full moon on the night of Sunday August 26, while there will be activities at 95 of them.

Like every year, the issue was discussed by the Central Archeological Committee and its members gave the green light to the events which include music, dance, theaters, poetry readings and movies.

The activities will peak on the night of the full moon with some starting Friday August 24 and others being held Monday August 27.

The full moon events last year drew more than 75,000 people to archaeological areas, monuments and museums across the country.

Entry to all areas will be free of charge.
