Prisoner at Korydallos has tested positive for coronavirus

According to sources, the prisoner, who is detained in the same space as another five detainees, has had Covid-19 symptoms for some days. However, he had not come in contact with anyone outside the prison, nor has he been transferred from another detention centre.

The man was transferred to Sotiria Hospital for treatment.

A team of health workers from the National Organisation of Public Health (EODY) will visit Korydallos on Wednesday to collect samples from other prisoners who may have come into contact with the patient.
