SYRIZA demands explanation for state money to channel opposing quarantine and masks
Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance attacked government spokesperson Stelios Petsas on Sunday, demanding an explanation for the public funds given to a television channel broadcasting content openly opposing the use of masks to protect against coronavirus.
"The extremely vocal Mr. Petsas has spoken about everything since yesterday except the most important thing," SYRIZA said in announcement. It once again urged the spokesperson to explain "for what reason he used public money to finance a channel with a show that provides legal advice against the quarantine and the mandatory masks, which urges citizens to take the law into their own hands and calls coronavirus 'a conspiracy to kill 15,000 children and to make a kilo of adrenochrome'".
"It is well known that both Mr. Petsas and the prime minister's general secretary do not have only political responsibilities for the scandal of the Petsas' list," the announcement added, saying that SYRIZA will continue asking until he provides an explanation.
