Coronavirus vaccine should not serve as a field for profiteering, says SYRIZA spox Iliopoulos
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis "mocked the proposal of several scientists and SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras" for the removal of vaccine patent rights in aid of their efficient distribution, said party spokesperson Nasos Iliopoulos on Wednesday.

"This was a proposal in view of fast, mass production of coronavirus vaccines," he added.
The latest developments "leave no room for inaction, as the coronavirus vaccine should not serve as a field for profiteering."
Concluding, Iliopoulos called on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to "take a European initiative for the lifting of vaccine patent rights."
