Fire fronts in northern Evia abating
A lot, but smaller rekindling, less smoke and weaker fire fronts is the picture today in northern Evia.
It is the first day since the start of the wildfire that the firefighting aircraft are operating normally without facing the problem of dense smoke.
The fire rekindled during the night in the villages of Asminio, Avgaria, Galatsona, Gerakiou, Panaghia Dinious, Simia, Agriovotano and Aghios Nikolaos but the the firefighting forces set them under control.
