Building materials' prices down 0.1 pct in May
Building materials' prices fell 0.1 pct in May this year, compared with the same month in 2016 and remained unchanged from April 2017, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Friday.
The statistics service, in a monthly report, attributed this development to prices increases in diesel oil (15.5 pct), steel pipes (11.2 pct), iron pipes (3.9 pct), switches (1.6 pct), cement (1.4 pct), heating equipment (0.8 pct) and bricks (0.8 pct).
On the other hand, building materials' prices fell 2.6 pct in iron, 2.4 pct in wooden windows, interior doors (1.1 pct), safety doors (0.8 pct), electricity (0.6 pct) and tiles (0.5 pct).
